Solomon's Wisdom and Folly | Nick Russo

After David’s reign, his son Solomon was chosen as the next king of Israel. God’s promise for David to always have a descendant reign onthe throne was already coming to pass. Although Solomon wisely began as a humble king who built the Temple for God to dwell, the end of his reign as king was mired in war and idolatry. Solomon’s foolishness would eventually lead to the Divided Kingdom of Israel and Judah, showing us both an important development in human history and our own need to guard against an enemy of covenant: selfishness.
